Indeed Hiring Events (IHE) is an all-in-one hiring solution designed to streamline and accelerate the recruitment process by combining Indeed’s extensive reach with powerful automation and event management features. As Engineering Manager, you'll own the engineering team responsible for keeping this product running, improving, and evolving. You'll collaborate closely with platform teams across Indeed and partner with the Go-to-Market team to resolve customer-reported issues quickly and effectively.

Who you are

• Own the team’s delivery roadmap, aligning priorities with product and business goals.

• Partner with engineering peers, product managers, UX, and program management to define and execute a clear long-term strategy.

• Mentor and support engineers at varying stages of their careers, from new hires to senior contributors.

• Create conditions that enable the team to self-organize, maintain predictable delivery, and sustain healthy velocity.

• Raise the technical bar by setting clear expectations around quality, processes, and engineering best practices.

• Support technical problem-solving by encouraging pragmatic decisions and thoughtful trade-off discussions.

Who we are

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a PhD with a minimum of 3 years experience

• Proven experience delivering large-scale initiatives that span multiple teams while establishing effective engineering practices and processes.

• Experience with modern software development technologies and architectures (e.g., service-oriented systems, APIs, web or backend frameworks).

• Experience working with data-intensive systems or applied machine learning is a plus but not required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
