Full description
Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
What you will do
Volvo Penta is in the midst of a transformation where sustainable solutions, electrification, and innovative business models are redefining the marine commercial industry. We are now looking for a Global Sales Project Manager to play a key role in driving sales, building strategic partnerships, and accelerating business growth.
In this global role, you will operate at the intersection of technology, business, and partnerships. You will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as Naval Architects, shipyards, and system integrators, ensuring that Volvo Penta is well positioned in future vessel projects.
You will act as an important bridge between central functions, market units, and external partners. A key part of the role is to identify, map, and develop a global network of relevant Naval Architects within prioritized vessel segments, while strengthening Volvo Penta’s position as a preferred partner in upcoming projects.
You will also lead Volvo Penta’s participation in global tenders, particularly within eMobility and hybrid propulsion. This includes acting as the key interface between Naval Architects and participating shipyards during the tender phase, coordinating Volvo Penta’s involvement until a shipyard is awarded the contract, and ensuring a structured handover to the responsible Market Unit. You will continue to support the Market Unit with technical configuration and quotations when needed.
In addition, you will contribute to the development of marine commercial sub-segment strategies, collect and share market trends, and collaborate with Product Planning to align product plans with market needs.
Your future team
You will be part of Volvo Penta’s Marine Commercial organization, working in close collaboration with market units, product planning, sales teams, and technical experts across the global Volvo Penta network.
The team works close to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to develop sustainable and competitive marine solutions. You will join a collaborative environment where business understanding, technical curiosity, and strong partnerships are key to success.
Who are you?
You combine strong business acumen with technical understanding and a natural ability to build relationships. You enjoy working in a global environment, managing complex opportunities, and bringing people together around common goals.
We believe you have:
- Experience in international sales, business development, or project management
- A solid understanding of the marine industry, preferably within commercial segments
- Experience managing complex business opportunities with multiple stakeholders
- Good knowledge of marine propulsion systems and preferably Volvo Penta’s marine product portfolio
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English
Experience within eMobility, hybrid propulsion, sustainable solutions, or working with Naval Architects, shipyards, or vessel design processes is considered a strong advantage.
You are structured, proactive, and comfortable navigating a global organization. You know how to drive topics forward across functions and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
What’s in it for you?
This is an opportunity to take on a global role with strong business impact in one of the most exciting areas of the marine industry. You will contribute to future vessel projects, sustainable marine solutions, and Volvo Penta’s continued transformation.
At Volvo Penta, you will work with skilled and committed colleagues in an international environment where innovation, collaboration, and customer success are central. You will have the opportunity to grow your network, influence strategic opportunities, and help shape the future of Marine Commercial.
Ready for the next move
If you want to combine global sales, strategic partnerships, and future marine technology, we would love to hear from you.
