Main responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership:
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of quality assurance within the production facility.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance Expert:
  • Stay abreast of food safety regulations and ensure the facility’s compliance.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections to maintain industry standards.
  • Quality Control Professional:
  • Implement and monitor rigorous quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet or exceed defined quality standards.
  • Process Audits and Improvement:
  • Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production and other relevant departments to implement enhancements.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping Excellence:
  • Establish and maintain detailed documentation for quality control procedures.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all quality-related activities and results.
  • Supplier Quality Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming raw materials.
  • Conduct audits of suppliers to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Training and Development:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for production staff on quality control procedures.
  • Keep the team updated on changes in quality standards and regulations.
  • Customer Satisfaction Focus:
  • Collaborate with customer service to address quality-related concerns and inquiries.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Non-Conformance Resolution:
  • Lead investigations into quality non-conformance and deviations.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes.
  • Continuous Improvement Advocate:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
  • Collaboration with R&D:
  • Work closely with the research and development team to ensure new products meet quality standards.
  • Provide input on quality aspects during product development.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response:
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plants related to quality issues.
  • Lead crisis management efforts to minimize the impact of quality incidents.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Two (2) or more years working with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in Food Science, Biological science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Certification in HACCP Principles and Preventive Controls for Human Food
  • Strong production background – the ability to turn data into action.
  • Ability to manage and develop employees.
  • Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - and PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
