About the team The Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre (ACSC) is a state-wide leader in advancing cancer survivorship care through education, service development, research and capacity building. As part of Peter Mac, the ACSC is leading key survivorship initiatives outlined in the Victorian Cancer Plan 2024-2028 and works collaboratively with health services, primary care and community providers across Victoria. About the role We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship (CPPiCS), a Victorian Government funded statewide initiative designed to build the knowledge and capability of health professionals delivering survivorship care. Funded through to September 2027, this role will oversee program implementation, stakeholder engagement and evaluation activities to support improved access to quality survivorship care across Victoria.

A regular day will see you:

• Leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship (CPPiCS).
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with health services, clinicians and key stakeholders across regional, primary care, rehabilitation and community settings.
• Coordinating program activities, reporting requirements, budgets and timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
• Identifying opportunities for program improvement and supporting initiatives that strengthen cancer survivorship education and workforce capability across Victoria.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, preferably within healthcare, education or the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple organisations.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations and funding acquittals.
• Experience coordinating programs, events, education initiatives or workforce development activities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, project management, public health, education or a related discipline.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of the 5th iteration of the Clinical Placement Program in Cancer Survivorship. This Department of Health funded, state-wide program is coordinated by ACSC and is open to health professionals from allied health and cancer/primary nursing disciplines with deliberate inclusion of regional, primary care, community and rehabilitation services.

The program's aim is to improve access to quality survivorship care for cancer survivors across Victoria by enhancing the knowledge and confidence of health professionals who provide this care. The program is funded until September 2027.

This role requires project and stakeholder management skills, as well as an understanding of adult education in the oncology context. The role will also support other survivorship education activities led by the ACSC.

Skills

Essential Requirements

Education and professional background

• Tertiary qualification in healthcare, education, public policy or related field

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cancer care

• Minimum 2 years project management experience in healthcare environments

Technical skills and knowledge

• Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and education programs to health professionals and consumers

• Demonstrated experience supporting and managing projects end to end, including supporting and delegating to Project Administrators

• Experience with quality improvement frameworks in health settings

• Knowledge of change management principles and practices

• Proven ability to analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports

• Experience with online platforms such as online learning management systems (Moodle), customer relationship management systems (Acuity), Mailchimp, survey monkey, social media platforms, video conferencing tools, Microsoft Office suite

Desirable Requirements

3. Project management
