Overview

Panasonic Connect is seeking a skilled Salesforce B2B Commerce Developer to design, develop, and optimize end-to-end B2B Commerce storefronts on the Salesforce platform. This role covers catalog management, pricing, checkout flows, custom integrations, and overall site performance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, UX teams, and business stakeholders to ensure all solutions align with technical best practices and evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Technical Development and Execution (80%)

  • Design and develop scalable experience sites and B2B Commerce solutions, including customizations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Build and enhance B2B Commerce components such as product catalogs, price lists, entitlements, carts, checkout processes, and account-specific experiences.
  • Implement and maintain integrations with SAP, PIM, and other third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, and platform events.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical designs with clear documentation, configuration records, and reusable components.
  • Create and execute test scripts to validate storefront functionality, pricing logic, and transactional data flows across environments.
  • Debug and resolve issues related to storefront performance, data synchronization, pricing inconsistencies, and user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Salesforce security standards, governor limits, and performance best practices across all B2B Commerce implementations.
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative approaches to improve scalability, maintainability, and user experience across the commerce platform.
  • Support release management activities, including deployments, regression testing, and post-deployment validation.

Collaboration and Solutioning (20%)

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support day-to-day operations of Salesforce B2B Commerce environments and related applications.
  • Work with technical leads and architects to design new features, enhancements, and custom storefront experiences.
  • Understand and support transactional data needs across systems, including orders, pricing, product data, entitlements, and inventory.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 4–7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including at least 3+ years focused on Salesforce B2B Commerce.
  • Strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce APIs (REST and SOAP).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing B2B Commerce components, including product catalogs, pricing rules, carts, checkout flows, entitlements, and custom storefront experiences.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce B2B Commerce with ERP, OMS, PIM, and other enterprise systems using APIs or middleware.
  • Required certifications: Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs for storefront customization.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Ability to quickly learn new features, platform capabilities, and emerging Salesforce commerce technologies.
  • Ability to visualize complex commerce and system architecture using UML, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and BPMN.
  • Deep understanding of the SOM data model, with familiarity in core objects such as Fulfillment Orders, Payment Authorizations, Return Orders, and Inventory Reservations.

B2B Commerce Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of the B2B Commerce data model, including accounts, contacts, buyer groups, and product catalogs.
  • Experience with B2B Commerce pricing engines, cart functionality, and order management.
  • Understanding of B2B-specific features like contract pricing, volume discounts, and approval processes.
  • Knowledge of B2B Commerce integration patterns with ERP and financial systems.
  • Experience with Salesforce Payments or Shopify Payments and payment service providers like Stripe and PayPal.
  • Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Salesforce B2B Commerce Developer and Platform Developer II certification.
  • Working knowledge of MuleSoft or other integration middleware used for ERP and OMS connectivity.
  • Active involvement in the Salesforce or B2B Commerce community, such as Trailblazer programs, user groups, and communities.
  • Experience with data quality tools such as DemandTools, Cloudingo, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and enterprise-grade Azure services for data movement and orchestration.
  • Experience with headless commerce architectures or Salesforce Composable Storefront is a plus.
