Join TELUS Health's Retirement & Benefits Solutions (RBS) team as a Solutions Architect, where you'll be the technical and strategic bridge between our sales team and some of Canada's largest employers.
Our team and what we'll accomplish together
You'll partner with Business Development Executives to design integrated pension and benefits solutions that transform how mid-to-large organizations manage employee wellbeing. This is a role where your expertise directly influences multi-million dollar deals and shapes the future of retirement and benefits administration for hundreds of thousands of Canadian employees.
What you'll do
- Partner with Business Development Executives throughout the sales cycle as the primary technical resource, leading discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and finalist presentations with prospects and benefits consultants
- Design and recommend integrated TELUS Health solutions across DC, DB, and HW platforms that seamlessly fit clients' existing HR, payroll, and benefits ecosystems
- Conduct gap analyses, business process design, and systems integration recommendations to articulate differentiated solution value for Canadian employers with 500–10,000+ employees
- Build trusted advisor relationships with HR, Finance, and IT leadership at prospect and client organizations
- Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Specialists, and Account Management teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to delivery, while identifying product enhancement opportunities to inform the RBS roadmap
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, system implementation, business analysis, or product development within Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) or financial services
- 5+ years in HR or benefits service delivery with demonstrated experience across at least two of: DC retirement plans, DB pension administration, or HW benefits administration
- Working knowledge of DC retirement plan design, DB pension administration, actuarial processes, and employer-sponsored HW benefits programs in the Canadian market
- Understanding of HR, payroll, and benefits technology ecosystems and integration patterns
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple complex client engagements concurrently
- Outstanding presentation, written, and verbal communication skills — able to translate technical concepts into executive-level business value
- Proven ability to lead workshops and drive decisions without formal authority, while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
Great-to-haves
- Bilingualism in English and French (particularly valuable for engaging Quebec-based and bilingual market clients)
- Industry designations such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Familiarity with TELUS Health or similar benefits administration platforms
