Your New Role

Are you passionate about investment data, emerging technologies and helping organisations unlock greater value from their data assets?

As Senior Analyst – Investment Data Enablement, you'll play a key role in supporting AustralianSuper's investment data strategy, partnering with stakeholders across Investments, Data Services and Technology to deliver high-quality data solutions, governance outcomes and platform enhancements.

Working across a diverse range of investment and enterprise data platforms, you'll help improve data governance/management, expand new data/AI capabilities and drive the adoption of effective data governance practices. You'll work closely with business, technology and vendor stakeholders to understand data requirements, implement solutions and ensure investment data is trusted, accessible and fit for purpose.

This role would suit someone who combines strong investment data expertise with a passion for innovation, governance and continuous improvement, and who is comfortable engaging with stakeholders across both business and technology teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead translating requirements into delivery-ready solutions: work with business and technology stakeholders to convert business needs into clear data requirements, solution designs and development-ready specifications.
  • Engineer and enhance investment data platforms: provide strong data and AI engineering capability across investment data platforms, including configuration, development, testing and support to ensure data is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
  • Embed AI-enabled capabilities: uplift existing data management solutions and platforms by applying agentic AI and advanced analytics capabilities where they can improve efficiency, control and insight.
  • Design and orchestrate data pipelines: collaborate with vendors and internal teams to design, engineer and manage data pipelines with strong data management, quality and control capabilities.
  • Support governance and continuous improvement: contribute to investment data governance, data quality and data management initiatives, while supporting documentation, training and knowledge sharing across the team.

What You'll Need

  • Investment data and platform experience: strong experience in investment data engineering, investment platform DevOps or investment technology engineering, supported by a deep understanding of investment data structures, financial instruments and front-to-back investment operating models.
  • AI, analytics and architecture capability: significant experience applying AI and advanced analytics within a multi-platform investment data environment, including experience optimising investment data architectures.
  • Data governance and controls: practical experience with data governance frameworks, practices and controls, including approaches that improve data quality, ownership and trusted use of data.
  • Stakeholder engagement: strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business, technology and vendor teams.
  • Problem solving and continuous improvement: strong analytical capability, attention to quality and a continuous improvement mindset.

Highly regarded:

  • Experience with investment platforms such as LUSID, Aladdin, BarraOne, Charles River, Calypso or similar.
  • Knowledge of investment books of record, including IBOR and ABOR concepts.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes and API integrations.
  • Python and SQL skills.
  • CFA qualification or exposure to investment management disciplines.
  • Knowledge of modern data management frameworks and data operating models.
