WHO WE ARE

Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.

With the support of six state governments in India, the Government of Bangladesh, and large private hospital systems, Noora Health has trained more than two million caregivers across 329 facilities. In a cohort of patients, the program reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn readmissions by 56%.

Noora Health was honored as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at TED 2022 and was also featured in a 2022 Skoll video.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the end-to-end visual design process for assigned projects, from concept development to final production across print, digital, and environmental communication materials.
  • Design impactful communication assets including flipcharts, facilitator guides, posters, signages, handouts, presentations, social media creatives, and other behaviour change communication materials tailored to diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.
  • Translate complex medical and technical content into simple, engaging, and user-centred visual communication that supports learning and behaviour change.
  • Collaborate closely with content creators, medical experts, implementation teams, service designers, illustrators, animators, translators, and production partners to deliver high-quality communication materials.
  • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior designers, helping maintain high standards of visual quality and supporting their professional growth.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of Noora Health's visual language by creating and maintaining templates, style guides, component libraries, and reusable design assets.
  • Ensure consistency with Noora Health's brand guidelines while adapting designs to local languages, cultural contexts, and implementation realities.
  • Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing quality, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Participate in design reviews, field visits, user testing, and feedback sessions to continuously improve the effectiveness and usability of communication materials.
  • Explore and leverage AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies to improve design efficiency while maintaining creative and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on design trends, accessibility standards, print production processes, and best practices in visual communication.
  • Take ownership of design quality by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, raising potential risks early, and recommending creative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, with a strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital work.
  • Proven ability to independently lead design projects from concept through production while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience designing for diverse audiences, with an understanding of visual communication, information hierarchy, accessibility, and behaviour change communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with Figma and presentation design tools.
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted design tools and the ability to integrate them thoughtfully into creative workflows.
  • Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout systems, iconography, illustration direction, and print production processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including content, medical, implementation, research, and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for human-centred design and creating meaningful communication for diverse and low-literacy audiences.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations to observe users, test communication materials, and incorporate learnings into design solutions.

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. If you are a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Visual Designer who is passionate about designing for various platforms, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
