Position Overview:

They are driven to lead successful projects coordinating across many participants and stakeholders, solve complex problems, and push the bounds of what is possible with performance and scale. Ocient Project Managers are self-motivated, enthusiastic leaders. They work directly with Solutions Delivery, Systems, Customer Operations, Engineering, Testers and Product Management personnel and with every part of the internal Ocient organization.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end planning and execution for technical programs and projects, including scope, timeline, resourcing, risk, and budget tracking
- Manage hardware and software installation projects, including coordination of procurement, site readiness, customer and/or vendor schedules, and go-live cutovers
- Coordinate database-related workstreams - requirements definitions, deployments, migrations, and workflow implementations
- Manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated to between teams (Product/Engineering/Solutions/Systems/ Customer Operations/QA/Sales) as well as business stakeholders
- Build and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and dashboards; run stand-ups, steering committee updates, and retrospectives
- Identify risks and blockers early, drive them to resolution, and escalate proactively when timelines or scope are at risk
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent projects, prioritizing based on business impact and dependencies
- Continuously improve program management processes, templates, and tooling for the team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Ideal Qualifications:
- BS in management information science, computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
- 4+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in a technical or engineering-adjacent environment
- Hands-on experience managing projects involving databases (in cloud, on-prem, as a service), data workflows, or data platform operations
- Experience coordinating hardware and/or software installation or deployment projects (on-prem, data center, or cloud infrastructure)
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting status and trade-offs to technical and executive audiences (both internal and external)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and follow-through
An Exceptional Candidate Will Have:
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification
- Experience working in Adtech, Telecommunications, and/or Network Security environments
- Familiarity with distributed systems, data warehousing, or large-scale data infrastructure
- An understanding of SQL, database HA/DR, and database security.
- Interested in pushing the bounds of what’s possible in large-scale data analytics
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical deployments
- Background in a startup or high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic technical organization
- A self-starter who can work projects from start to finish
