Join a fast-growing research team focused on developing new and innovative technologies to ensure the security of connected cyber physical systems. Collins Aerospace is seeking experienced cyber engineers knowledgeable in embedded system and communication platform design to support a multifaceted portfolio of research and development activities within our Applied Research & Technology organization. The responsibility of this role is to advanced cybersecurity research, including contributing to technical development activities of new security techniques for connected platforms. The ideal candidate will experience the threat analysis of mission- and safety-critical platforms, vulnerability analysis technologies, emerging security research, operational technology or embedded systems.
What You Will Do
- Lead the technical and strategic management of novel research and development projects in the cyber physical security
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams of hardware, software, communications, and/or systems engineers to develop, integrate, and evaluate new cyber security technologies
- Support advanced technology demonstrations delivering early customer engagement, innovation, and business impact
- Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Experience with embedded systems or industrial control systems or operational technology
- Previous research experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
- Aerospace or defense experience
- Active DoD security clearance
- Experience working with FPGA or other embedded systems

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
