Your mission

We are entering a multi-year collaboration with a major vehicle manufacturer to design advanced in-vehicle digital experiences. Our work spans early R&D exploration through to production-grade design delivery, supporting several parallel development tracks and working closely with internal product and engineering teams. Description

Your Tasks

  • Design intuitive, future-oriented HMI interfaces across multiple (in-vehicle) displays
  • Create excellent UI designs for complex (in-vehicle) displays
  • Develop components, icons, visual elements and screen layouts aligned with the design system
  • Translate UX requirements and interaction flows into clear, production-ready visual concepts
  • Collaborate with UX designers, prototypers, motion designers and engineering teams
  • Maintain visual consistency across multiple surfaces, resolutions and themes
  • Support handover by preparing documentation, specs and visual assets for development

Your profile

  • Automotive & HMI Experience (such as Android Automotive OS, infotainment, navigation, ADAS, HMI, connected services, mobility or other future mobility services)
  • Experience with complex, scaled product development or delivery programs (ideally Automotive & Mobility experience working with OEM, Tier1 or Agency/Consultancy)
  • Understanding of driver context, cognitive load and specific test conditions
  • Quality, Safety and Compliance Mindset (Commercial Vehicles HMI ≠ Consumer Apps)
  • Strong visual design skills and a portfolio demonstrating complex UI work
  • Excellent proficiency in Figma, including components, variants and design systems
  • Ability to create clean, scalable visual assets suited for embedded or automotive environments
  • Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, contrast and hierarchy

Bonus• Basic familiarity with ISO standards 

  • Experience with commercial vehicles 
  • Ability to create iconography or illustration tailored to HMI contexts
  • Familiarity with motion design for functional transitions
  • Understanding of automotive constraints (legibility, luminance, themes, day/night modes)
  • Experience preparing assets for embedded or real-time rendering systems
  • Experience designing for VR/AR
