Requirements

The role requires broad security architecture and engineering experience with strong knowledge in cloud, identity, and application security. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to evaluate controls in an operational context and communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership.

Full description

One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Cybersecurity Architect, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You can raise security standards without separating security from the engineering and business decisions that create risk.

The partner is strengthening security across cloud, applications and enterprise technology. You will define architecture guidance, review major initiatives and help teams choose controls that are proportionate, usable and defensible.

Security work is expected to reduce real exposure while preserving the organisation’s ability to deliver. The strongest candidates can connect a technical weakness with a credible threat, an appropriate control and a practical path to implementation.

How you will work

You will work directly with the people who design, operate and depend on the systems being protected. Recommendations must identify the threat, the affected asset and a realistic implementation path. The partner values careful evidence, proportionate controls and clear escalation when risk cannot be removed immediately.

This is a leadership role with hands on responsibility for direction, decisions and the capability of others. You will create enough structure for teams to move independently, while stepping into detail when risk or ambiguity demands it. The partner wants visible ownership without unnecessary hierarchy.

What you will do

  • Develop security architecture principles and reference patterns.
  • Perform threat modelling and design reviews for critical initiatives.
  • Guide identity, network, data and application security decisions.
  • Translate regulatory and risk requirements into implementable controls.
  • Support exception decisions and document residual risk clearly.
  • Coach engineers and architects on secure design.

What you will bring

  • Broad security architecture and engineering experience.
  • Strong cloud, identity and application security knowledge.
  • Experience with threat modelling and risk assessment.
  • Ability to evaluate controls in their operational context.
  • Credible communication with technical teams and leadership.
  • Professional English; Swedish may be needed for certain partners.

Experience that would add value

  • Zero trust programmes or large cloud transformations.
  • Security work in finance, energy, healthcare or public services.
  • Relevant certifications backed by practical delivery.

A background that can succeed here

You may have developed from cloud engineering, application security, infrastructure or consulting. The partner values architects who remain technically current and can explain why a control matters in the specific design.

What makes the opportunity interesting

The role provides broad influence and early access to important technical decisions. You will help teams make secure choices before risk becomes expensive to remove.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

The recruitment conversation

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.

How to apply

Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant system, product or transformation you have helped deliver. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into technology and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
