The AI Product Analyst is an individual contributor role responsible for understanding, utilizing, and actively building within the AI products and capabilities the company sources from its vendors and executing against the company’s AI strategy. This role manages each AI initiative from evaluation through adoption, hands-on configuration and use of the tools themselves, clear documentation, and consistent end-user training. As the company's AI footprint grows across multiple vendor relationships, this role is the connective layer that keeps those initiatives coherent, well-documented, and actively utilized rather than siloed or underused.
Key Responsibilities
AI Landscape & Strategy
- Develop and maintain deep working knowledge of every AI product/capability the company sources from vendors, including what it does, how it's configured, and how it's meant to be used
- Serve as the go-to resource on the company's AI vendor landscape, executing against the company’s AI strategy
- Maintain a holistic view across all active and planned AI initiatives to flag dependencies, redundancies, or conflicts before they become operational problems
- Flag potential gaps where existing vendor tools fall short of a business need to the EVP, Mortgage Technology for further evaluation
Hands-On Solution Building
- Actively use and build within the AI products and platforms the company has licensed, including configuring workflows, automations, prompts, or integrations to solve specific business problems
- Prototype and stand up practical solutions using existing AI vendor tools before determining whether a need requires escalation beyond what those tools can do
- Continuously look for ways to get more value out of the AI capabilities already available to the company, rather than treating tools as static once deployed
Initiative Management
- In partnership with department leaders, manage each AI initiative end-to-end: evaluation, setup, requirements, rollout, and post-launch adoption
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to define requirements and success criteria for each initiative
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with AI capability vendors, including onboarding, performance, and issue escalation
- Coordinate implementation timelines and technical requirements between vendors and internal teams
Documentation & Governance
- Create and maintain clear, thorough documentation for every AI initiative: purpose, configuration, ownership, dependencies, and known limitations
- Establish and maintain a consistent documentation standard so the AI portfolio remains understandable as it grows
- Treat documentation as a core, ongoing deliverable of the role rather than an afterthought to implementation work
Training & Adoption
- Design and deliver hands-on training for end users on AI tools and capabilities
- Own adoption metrics for each initiative and drive engagement/utilization after launch
- Gather user feedback and route it back to department leaders, vendor relationships and initiative roadmaps
- Treat training and adoption as a core, ongoing responsibility, not a one-time event at launch
Reporting
- Maintain a current view of the AI initiative portfolio and report regularly on status, adoption, and value to the EVP, Mortgage Technology
Qualifications
Required
- 2-3 years in product analysis, program/product coordination, or a closely related role, ideally including exposure to vendor/SaaS tools
- Hands-on experience actually configuring, customizing, or building within AI tools or platforms (e.g., prompt engineering, workflow automation, no-code/low-code AI tooling)
- Strong documentation and process discipline
- Experience designing and delivering end-user training
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience with AI/ML tools, platforms, or vendor ecosystems
- Mortgage banking or financial services experience
- Familiarity with backlog/agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
What Success Looks Like
- An AI portfolio that delivers efficiency and scalability through well-adopted tools that improve upon every day processes
- The company has one clear, current source of truth for what AI capabilities exist and how they're used
- AI tools already licensed by the company are actively utilized and configured to their fullest practical potential, not left running at default settings
- AI initiatives from different vendors work together rather than as disconnected point solutions
- AI initiatives launch with clear documentation and defined ownership
- Consistent, measurable user adoption post-launch
- The EVP, Mortgage Technology has clear visibility into the status and value of the AI portfolio at any time
