Our New Teammate

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure to support our state agency clients. You will work within an exciting team and continue your development under the tutelage of our talented engineering department.

You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:

  • 50% of the time on Objective 1: Service Delivery and Projects
  • 40% of the time on Objective 2: Operational Duties and Support
  • 10% of the time on Objective 3: Professional/Personal Development

Job Responsibilities - What to Expect

  • Deployment of physical architecture layer for new and existing clients
  • Create and maintain logical architecture for new and existing clients
  • Implement appropriate network equipment and controls per project requirements
  • Execute DOT-related Professional Services projects as required
  • Collaborate in pre-sales process architecture definition for new proposals
  • Establish configurations to remote and on-site Skyline SITCH platform services
  • Deploy and configure Skyline SITCH (containers) on Linux platform OEM servers
  • Virtual or on-site installation of appliances at remote facilities
  • Implement appropriate observability monitors and performance reporting
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
  • Support Skyline SITCH platform Operations and Engineering teams as SME
  • Assist with execution of field network maintenance
  • Perform tier 3 outage triage/troubleshooting/resolution for Skyline SITCH clients.
  • Create/update documentation and collaborate with other professionals
  • Participate in the Skyline planning process, team meetings, and trainings
  • Develop scripts/code in line with Skyline process standards
  • Participate in functional code review process
  • Assist with process integration and continuous improvement enhancements with Video Platform, Networking, Engineering, QA, and HelpDesk teams for SITCH platform
  • Specialization in DevOps, Containerization, CI/CD, and Cloud
  • Incident/Request/Problem resolution and escalation for internal/client
  • Utilization of organizational change control (CAB) process
  • Response to support tickets, emails, and calls
  • Follow established SOPs and organizational governance
  • Create and share knowledge through documentation and training

Travel - Dispatched to on-site support for break-fix (incidents), deployments (new clients), maintenance/upgrades. Less than 10% travel.

Your Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited University (IS, COSC, ENG degrees preferred)
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • 1-2 years in operations and/or helpdesk type role
  • Certifications: JNCIA, JNCIS-ENT, RHCSA, RHCE, EX457
  • 1-2 years scripting major/minor solutions
  • 1-2 years participating in the SDLC of software products
  • 1-2 years direct cloud technology experience
  • 1-2 years with automation tools
