abra professional services is seeking a Senior Technology Project Manager.
We are looking for a skilled Senior Technology Project Manager to lead a complex, multi-system technology project end-to-end, focused on the gradual modernization of a legacy system and the integration of new components alongside the existing system.
This role requires extensive experience managing complex technology projects in matrix environments, leading development, system analysis, QA, infrastructure, vendor, and business teams, while taking ownership of scope, budget, timelines, quality, risks, and delivery.
A full-time position based in Lod, Israel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a complex, multi-system technology project end-to-end.
- Manage gradual legacy system modernization and integration of new components with existing systems.
- Lead development, system analysis, QA, infrastructure, vendor, and business stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Manage project scope, budget, timelines, quality, risks, dependencies, blockers, and delivery.
- Manage vendors and subcontractors, including monitoring deliverables, costs, and schedules.
- Drive multiple stakeholders, identify issues early, and promote solutions independently with minimal escalation.
Requirements
MUST HAVE requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience managing complex, multi-system technology projects; 8+ years is an advantage.
- Significant experience leading multiple development teams and interfaces in a matrix environment, without direct managerial authority.
- Experience managing end-to-end projects, from planning and analysis through development, testing, deployment, and production release.
- Proven experience managing work plans, scope, budget, timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
- Experience managing a significant project budget, including forecasting, control, and exception management.
- Experience in transformation / modernization projects of legacy systems, including integrating new systems and components alongside existing systems.
- Experience managing vendors and subcontractors, including control of deliverables, costs, and schedules.
- Ability to motivate multiple stakeholders, identify issues in advance, and drive solutions independently with minimal need for escalation.
- Strong technological orientation and broad understanding of architecture, APIs, microservices, integration, databases, frontend/backend systems, and legacy systems.
- Ability to conduct professional discussions and challenge technology teams, without requiring hands-on development or an architect role.
Advantages:

- Experience in projects involving digital applications.
- Experience using AI for development, reverse engineering, system analysis, documentation, or specification writing.
- Familiarity with .NET / WinForms and Mainframe environments.
