Why this role exists:
Ensure the high quality, reliability, and stability of software products through thorough manual testing and defect management. Drive quality assurance throughout the entire software development lifecycle while leveraging modern AI-powered tools to optimize testing efficiency.
What you’ll drive:
Test execution & quality assurance
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate software against functional and non-functional requirements.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure high-quality releases.
• Support performance and load testing activities where required.
• Take end-to-end ownership of feature quality throughout the SDLC — from requirement analysis and test planning to post-release validation.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate test design, requirements analysis, defect investigation, documentation, and other day-to-day QA activities.
Defect management
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Investigate issues and provide clear reproduction steps.
• Work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend preventive improvements.
Collaboration & delivery
• Partner with developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Contribute to test planning and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics clearly.
• Support release readiness by validating critical functionality.
Process improvement
• Improve testing documentation, QA processes, and testing methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of reusable test scenarios and frameworks.
• Help increase testing efficiency through better tooling, AI adoption, and automation collaboration.
• Share knowledge and support junior QA engineers in their professional growth.
What makes you a GR8 fit:
Must-have
• 3+ years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing within the FinTech domain.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Understanding of client-server architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve testing efficiency and optimize QA workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced product environment, balancing multiple priorities and adapting quickly to changing requirements.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher, with fluency in Ukrainian or Russian.
Nice-to-have
• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting.
• Experience with log monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Sentry).
• Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka or similar).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience in high-load or product-based environments.
