Summery of the Role
To support the Dresden Subsidy Team, we are seeking a Sr Financial Analyst based in Sofia/Bulgaria. This role is an integral part of our international Finance organization, providing analytical and operational support for public funded projects. The position focuses on supporting the Dresden-based team in all activities with a strong focus on data preparation, reporting, and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with the Dresden Team and other cross-functional departments in multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation, processing, and validation of financial and project-related data for subsidy management
- Responsibility for data preparation for cash requests for certain cost categories
- Support of accounting tasks related to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for funded projects
- Preparation of internal close reporting and analyses for the Dresden Subsidies Team
- Support in the preparation of audit documentation and internal controls
- Contribution to continuous improvement of reporting processes and data structures
- Close collaboration with the Dresden team and other cross-functional departments
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or data analysis
- Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail
- Fluent German (written and spoken) is required; strong English communication skills are also expected
- Ability to work independently while being closely aligned with an international team
- Broad experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, global environment
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate constructively across teams and regions
