This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Development (Critical Infrastructure & Advanced Manufacturing) based in the United States.

This role leads the development and continuous improvement of technical training programs supporting critical infrastructure, data centers, and advanced manufacturing environments. You will transform complex industrial systems, procedures, and field practices into practical learning experiences for adult learners. The position combines deep technical expertise with hands-on curriculum and instructional content development. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructors, technology partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable training solutions. Your work will span instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, lab, assessment, and scenario-based learning experiences. The role also offers the opportunity to strengthen content development processes and help establish reliable ways to measure learner progress nationwide. This is a high-ownership position in a fast-paced, evolving environment where quality, practicality, and continuous improvement are central to the work.

Accountabilities: The Senior Manager will own the development, maintenance, and quality of curriculum and instructional resources for technical workforce pathways. The role requires strong collaboration, project ownership, technical research, and the ability to translate real-world industrial practices into effective learning experiences.

  • Lead the development, revision, and maintenance of curriculum, assessments, labs, instructor resources, and learner-facing materials for critical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing pathways.
  • Translate technical concepts, procedures, equipment, and field practices into clear, job-relevant learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Ensure training materials remain accurate, consistent, practical, and aligned with learning and workforce outcomes.
  • Collaborate with instructors, subject matter experts, Product Development teams, technology or platform partners, and other stakeholders to support successful implementation.
  • Use technology and media to create dynamic, engaging, and accessible curriculum content.
  • Design structured learning activities that support learner understanding, practical application, and instructor usability.
  • Develop and finalize instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, lab, assessment, and scenario-based solutions through reviews and pilot testing.
  • Define, document, and maintain the scope of learning materials while identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Research emerging technical training needs and continuously expand knowledge of relevant technologies, practices, and learning approaches.
  • Troubleshoot complex electromechanical concepts and effectively communicate technical processes to different audiences.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining high standards for accuracy and quality.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of content development processes as training programs scale nationally.
  • Take ownership of special projects and other content development initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in critical infrastructure, data centers, or advanced manufacturing with the ability to design practical technical training. Strong communication, project management, analytical, and instructional skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • 1–3 years of experience working in or consulting with critical infrastructure, data centers, and/or advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing successful technical training programs for roles such as Electromechanical Technician, Instrument Technician, PLC/Automation Control Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Industrial Electrician, Critical Facility Engineer/Technician, or similar positions.
  • Strong understanding of the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment commonly found in highly automated facilities, including pumps, motors, motor controllers, PDUs, MCCs, sensors and actuators, PLCs/DCS/SCADA, VFDs, UPS systems, diesel generators, ATS, pneumatics, hydraulics, CRAH/CRAC systems, BMS, and related equipment.
  • Significant experience with safety requirements such as LOTO, OSHA, and NFPA in environments involving high-energy electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Strong familiarity with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, or comparable procedures used to maintain or restore equipment in critical environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems under fault conditions and clearly explain troubleshooting processes to others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership of deliverables and the ability to meet both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with evolving learning and technical practices.
  • BA/BS in a relevant field, equivalent professional experience, and/or industry certifications related to safety, facilities, industrial systems, or automation.
  • Experience designing curriculum or instructional content for adult learners in workforce training, technical education, higher education, or corporate learning environments is preferred.
  • Experience creating labs, assessments, simulations, or scenario-based learning activities is preferred.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, project management capabilities, and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau are valued.
  • Facilitation or coaching experience with different audiences is a plus.
  • OSHA and/or NFPA certifications are preferred.
  • Comfortable working with subject matter experts, instructors, and internal partners with different priorities.
  • Able to organize complex or unstructured technical information into clear, teachable, and usable content.
  • Comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced, evolving environment where processes continue to develop.

Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $80,000–$90,000, with compensation determined in part by geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Remote position within the United States, with two days per month at a Per Scholas site; NYC or Atlanta preferred.
  • Candidates must reside in an eligible state: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MD, MA, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TX, or WA, where applicable.
