You will play a key role in keeping data flowing reliably at massive scale while helping shape the tools, frameworks and best practices that support every team on the platform.

As a consultant with us, you get the opportunity to work with one of our clients, a leading company within communication and security technology whose mission is to build trust in communication by making it safer, smarter and more efficient. Your responsibilities:

  • Support for all teams in building and optimizing their complex pipelines
  • Close collaboration with other teams to identify pain points and problems around the platform
  • Development of new tools and frameworks to improve the data platform
  • Close collaboration with data scientists and data analysts to support their work in production
  • Work on large-scale projects such as building an ML platform and streaming use cases
  • Establishing best practices and processes around software and data development
  • Hands-on work building, scaling and operating production-grade data platforms/infrastructure, including reliability, observability, performance and self-service capabilities

You work in a dynamic environment where you independently drive your own workflow forward while collaborating with multiple interfaces within the organization.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Experience working with an orchestration tool (e.g. Airflow)
  • Experience working with large data sets and building complex ETL pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Strong programming skills in Spark with Scala and Python
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices and principles
  • Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a proven ability to take initiative and own problems through to resolution

Nice to have:

  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with streaming platforms
  • Experience managing a data warehouse in BigQuery or Redshift
