Role Summary
Looking for an experienced candidate with a blend of DevOps/Platform Engineering with automation and AI capabilities. This role will lead automation, platform modernization, cloud-native adoption, observability, and security initiatives while enabling developers through self-service platform capabilities. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, IAC, CI/CD, Platform Automation, Observability tools, Networking, Security and emerging AIOps technologies. This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time. Position Details
About the Role:
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable, highly available cloud-native platforms across AWS and GCP using Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Drive Platform Engineering initiatives by building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), self-service capabilities, modern CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity solutions.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including observability, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, APM, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, incident management, and production reliability.
- Develop automation frameworks, self-healing systems, AI-assisted operational workflows, and intelligent remediation capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce MTTR.
- Partner closely with Product, Security, Platform, and Architecture teams to lead cloud modernization, application migrations, Kubernetes adoption, DevSecOps integration, governance, compliance automation, and policy-as-code initiatives.
- Optimize cloud costs through FinOps practices while supporting mission-critical production environments and continuously evaluating emerging technologies, AI-driven engineering solutions, and modern platform capabilities.
About You:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering, delivering and operating large-scale, highly available production platforms.
- Strong expertise in AWS (EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, Route53, Lambda, FSx, CloudWatch, VPC), cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and disaster recovery design.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and release automation using GitHub Actions, Harness, Terraform, and modern deployment practices.
- Proficient in PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting, API-driven automation, and building scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure and operational excellence.
- Deep knowledge of observability, reliability, and security engineering, including Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, APM, SRE practices, incident management, cloud security, policy-as-code, compliance automation, and zero-trust principles.
- Familiarity with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, networking (DNS, Load Balancing, TLS/SSL), and emerging technologies such as Platform Engineering, AIOps, AI-powered automation, and cloud-native development; experience with Golang and/or Java is a strong plus.
