Job Summary:
The Sr Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable business insights that drive growth, improve decision-making, and support strategic initiatives across the Business Development organization. This role analyzes sales performance, market trends, customer behavior, competitive intelligence, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, and process improvement.
The role leverages emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and advanced analytics, to enhance market evaluation, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. The Senior Business Development Analyst develops data-driven recommendations, influences business strategy, and supports the execution of initiatives that contribute to organizational growth and competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate combines advanced analytical skills with business acumen and effectively communicates complex findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, technical teams, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide visibility into key business performance indicators.
- Analyze sales pipeline performance, conversion rates, revenue trends, customer acquisition, and retention metrics.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Business Development initiatives.
- Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal systems, including CRM, ERP, GIS, financial systems, and operational databases.
- Utilize AI-powered analytical tools to summarize large datasets, generate insights, improve reporting efficiency, and support data-driven decision making while validating the accuracy of AI-generated outputs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities through statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Support strategic planning by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and forecasting.
- Create executive-level presentations that summarize findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to develop reporting solutions and improve data quality.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support pricing strategies, product launches, market expansion, and business cases.
- Assist with customer segmentation and revenue analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for emerging AI and business intelligence technologies for process improvements that increase reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity through routine audits and validation procedures.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and analytical processes
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Experience supporting Sales, Business Development, or Commercial organizations preferred.
- Telecommunications, broadband, technology, or utilities industry experience is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Understanding of business metrics, forecasting, and KPI development.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
