Senior Planning Engineer - Rails
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning Engineer - Rails to join our PMC team on a major Rail programme. In this role you will lead planning, scheduling, progress control, reporting and time-related claims/EOT support.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review contractor baseline and progress schedules and support the Engineer’s consent in line with contract requirements and Parsons practices.
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across packages and interfaces; validate resource/schedule feasibility.
- Identify potential schedule risks/conflicts and support updates to the project risk register.
- Analyze progress updates to identify delays/slippage, critical events and recommend mitigation/recovery actions.
- Perform “what-if” analysis and schedule impact assessments for changes/variations.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, programme analysis, dashboards and presentations against milestones.
- Support claims/EOT assessments using delay analysis methods (e.g., time impact and window analysis), including concurrent delay analysis.
- Lead planning coordination meetings, maintain trackers/logs and ensure contemporaneous records are kept.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to planning team members as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 12 years post-graduate experience including 5+ years of rail experience.
- Previous experience in Planning & Scheduling, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis, and Extension of Time Claims
- Extensive experience with the design processes and construction methodologies in Rail Projects
- Experience in the application of Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis and TILOS.
- Strong understanding of rail design/construction methodologies and industry best practices/regulations.

- Professional certification such as PSP or PMI-SP (preferred).
