About the Position
Pond is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (Engineer or Architect) to join our growing, award-winning Federal group.
We are looking for a self-starting, driven individual who will augment our strong team dynamic and embrace our client-first culture. This person must demonstrate a natural desire to take initiative, lead teams, and consistently exceed client expectations.
Successful Project Managers at Pond & Company operate with a team-based philosophy and are responsible for managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams, as well as overseeing sub-consultants. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of design requirements for federal facilities, including both DoD and non-DoD agencies, with specific experience supporting Navy projects strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
- 5+ years of experience within an architecture, engineering, or construction organization, preferably supporting Federal clients (Navy experience strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- Professional Registration (PE or RA) required
- Thorough knowledge of facilities design and construction, contract management, project delivery, and client relationship management
- Experience with Federal contracting, procurement processes, and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and/or other relevant software
- Ability to travel as needed
- Occasional attendance at meetings and off-site events; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Position may require occasional travel
- Must be able to travel internationally, if required, via passport or other official documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC); access to federal installations may require additional security credentials and the ability to obtain a security clearance
