National Support, Recovery & Safety Advisor

12-month Contract | Full-time or PT 4 days per week | Melbourne

We’re looking for an experienced National Support, Recovery & Safety Advisor to join our People & Safety team on a 12-month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key role that combines injury management, workplace safety and continuous improvement. Working across the group, you’ll partner with leaders to support our people, strengthen our approach to early intervention and recovery, and help drive positive safety outcomes across the business.

No two days will look the same.

While you’ll oversee our end-to-end workers’ compensation, injury management and early intervention programs, this role extends well beyond claims management.

You’ll partner with leaders across the business to:

• Manage workplace injuries from early intervention through to recovery and return to work

• Identify trends and root causes using injury and safety data

• Support investigations and recommend practical preventative actions

• Coach and support leaders on injury management and safety best practice

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across our national operations

• Contribute to continuous improvement of our safety systems and processes

• Help create a proactive, supportive safety culture where our people can thrive

This is a highly visible role where you’ll spend time engaging with the business, solving problems and influencing positive outcomes. 

About you

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

You may come from a workers’ compensation, injury management, case management or broader health and safety background. You don’t necessarily need formal allied health qualifications, we’re more interested in your practical experience and your ability to build relationships.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Around 5+ years’ experience in injury management, workers’ compensation, return to work or a similar role

• Experience partnering with operational leaders and coaching stakeholders

• Strong case management and early intervention experience

• Confidence analysing data and identifying trends to drive better outcomes

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels

• Experience supporting investigations and implementing preventative actions
