About ans*:
Ten years ago, we started with one clear goal: to make life easier for teachers and students when it comes to assessments. Today, thousands of teachers use our SaaS platform every day, in the Netherlands and beyond. But we're not done!
We have built a hybrid assessment platform that universities across the world use to create, take, and grade exams, on paper or digitally. We are a small team based in Delft, aiming for stability, product quality, and doing meaningful work.
We value clear written communication and respect your uninterrupted time. We do not do endless meetings; we write things down instead.
About the role:
We're looking for a QA Tester. We have a QA process in place, but the tester who built it has moved on, so there's plenty of room to put your own mark on it. We test with a mix of manual and automated work; our automated end-to-end suite runs on Cypress.
In this role, you'll:
- own the testing of the features you pick up, from scoping through to production
- write clear, reproducible bug reports that catch edge cases beyond the happy path
- write and maintain our automated end-to-end tests in Cypress
- verify bug fixes written by the engineers, to make sure the bugs you found are squashed
- get to know how our customers actually use the platform, so you can test the workflows that matter most
- help keep our platform WCAG 2.1 AA compliant
About you:
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate:
- possesses a solid understanding of software products and a sharp eye for detail
- is comfortable combining manual, exploratory testing with writing automated tests (we use Cypress), or is eager to learn
- can prioritise their tasks effectively and with minimal direction and zero micromanagement
- welcomes constructive feedback, maintains high self-awareness, and commits to team decisions
- has strong communication skills in English
- has previous work experience in a product company, preferably in SaaS
- nice to have: experience with web accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA)
What we offer you:
- a gross salary of € 3.694,90 per month based on a full-time position (40 hours)
- you'll receive 10% of your gross salary to invest in your retirement plan: we’re happy to contribute to your future
- you’ll receive an 8% holiday allowance, paid out monthly
- we like to stay active! You'll receive a sports budget of € 200,- per year (based on a full-time position)
- 25 vacation days based on a full-time contract
- a day off on your birthday
- a MacBook or Framework to work on
- a € 1000,- learning and development budget (based on a full-time position)
- an office in a great location, just a few steps from the Delft train station
- an NS Business Card for your office commute, or € 0,25 mileage allowance
- lunch at the office with fresh bread from the best bakery in Delft
- we work in a hybrid environment, a nice balance between working at the office and from home
- quite some cake! We love celebrating our successes with the whole team.
- an awesome (we do say so ourselves) ski trip in 2027 ⛷️!
The process:
We don't let AI rule our recruitment; humans do. We look at a CV after we read a good motivational letter. We care about why you want to work with us. So, take a moment to tell your story when applying for this job.
If we like what we read, you'll be contacted for an introductory call where we can both ask our burning questions. If there is genuine interest on both ends, you'll receive a case study to work on.
The second interview is at our office. We'll discuss your case study and go into more technical details of the role. This final round helps us decide if we are the right fit for each other. If we decide to move forward with an offer, we will complete a reference check with your previous employers. We will also ask you to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
You have to be eligible to work in the Netherlands, as we do not provide visa sponsorship or relocation for this role.
Interested? Apply now! We’d love to get in touch and get to know you better.
