This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst, Strategic Finance based in the United States.

As a Senior Data Analyst on the Finance team, you’ll turn complex data into insights that influence company-wide planning, forecasting, and strategic decisions. You’ll partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, RevOps, Product, Marketing, and other business teams. Your analysis will help shape investment decisions, operating plans, growth opportunities, and financial outcomes. You’ll combine strong technical skills with business judgment to uncover trends and translate them into actionable recommendations. The role also offers opportunities to automate recurring processes and build scalable self-service reporting. You’ll contribute to the evolution of analytics infrastructure alongside Data Engineering and analytics teams. Accountabilities:

  • Conduct deep, prioritized analyses that uncover strategic insights and inform high-impact financial and business decisions.
  • Serve as a technical and analytical partner to Finance, FP&A, Accounting, RevOps, Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations that support planning, forecasting, investment decisions, and scalable growth.
  • Build self-service dashboards, reporting solutions, and reusable data assets that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions independently.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring financial and analytical deliverables, improving efficiency and scalability as the organization grows.
  • Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and analytics teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and the overall analytics infrastructure.
  • Help democratize access to trusted data and insights across business functions.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting the level of detail to the stakeholder.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and establish trust through reliable analysis, thoughtful recommendations, and consistent delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovative approaches that increase the impact and efficiency of the Finance Data function.
  • Use AI thoughtfully and responsibly to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and strengthen the quality and impact of your work.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, financial analytics, or an equivalent analytical function.
  • Experience or exposure to FP&A, Accounting, SaaS metrics, or strategic finance is a strong advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with dbt is preferred, with Python experience for advanced analysis considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to identify meaningful insights within complex datasets.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into practical strategies and recommendations that influence financial and business outcomes.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and building productive relationships with stakeholders across different business functions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data and financial concepts to audiences with varying levels of data fluency.
  • Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and an ability to prioritize high-impact analytical work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Curious and open-minded about using AI to amplify analytical capabilities, improve efficiency, and strengthen the quality of work, with sound judgment around responsible AI use.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment where priorities can evolve quickly and analytical work has significant business visibility.
