ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic Audi Aftersales Product and Pricing Analyst to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of After Sales products and pricing models and strategies which optimise the competitive advantage of the AUDI brand and secure the planned overall After Sales turnover, After Sales Service market share and Dealer After Sales profitability. This position is based in Audi - NSO (Sandton)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executing competitor studies of other model competitors and the Independent Aftermarket to determine Audi Brand market position in respect of product groups, single items and individual market areas.
  • Derivation of price functions for After Sales products – price leader and price follower – and defining further price steps to achieve competitive and targeted price positioning.
  • Establishing necessary discounts/ conditions to achieve increased loyalty to the Audi Dealer Network.
  • Providing suggestions/ actions to implement a uniform price and margin logic to improve Audi Dealer after sales turnover potential.
  • Facilitating and conducting ongoing dealer working groups to research/ review price positioning and competitor activities.
  • Conducting ongoing research to evaluate brand (Audi After Sales products) presence and overall effectiveness in the marketplace.
  • Assisting in the development of marketing briefs to support price repositioning.
  • Representing the Audi Brand in Group Parts pricing activities.
  • Consolidating relevant data to prepare for target agreement negotiations with the parent company.
  • Continually benchmark Audi products vs. competitor offering and motor industry developments for threats and opportunities to propose appropriate action.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A recognised 3-year National diploma or bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in Finance/ Commerce/ Procurement/ Marketing/ Business Management.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ automotive experience with good understanding of the automotive market and competitive environment.
  • Knowledge of the automotive Parts, Accessories and Collection business
  • Knowledge of the automotive Product and Pricing systems and strategies.
  • Knowledge of Dealer After Sales operating procedures.
  • SAP, ET 2000 and Business Warehouse knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a marketing environment (After Sales Marketing experience would be advantageous).

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet, with well-developed report preparation skills
  • Numeracy and inclination to work with figures
  • Understanding of pricing principles
  • Detail consciousness and accuracy driven
  • Structured thinking approach
