Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Assistant Product Manager to drive vendor growth, profitability, and market expansion. The role will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, optimizing product performance, improving supply chain efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue and gross margin objectives. The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, demand planning expertise, and a deep understanding of technology products and market dynamics.

Position Summary:

  • Build and manage strong vendor relationships with a clear focus on driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Own working capital efficiency through effective demand planning, inventory control, stock optimization, and vendor claim management.
  • Analyse demand forecasts, identify gaps (forecast vs. backlog), and drive corrective actions to ensure supply alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve revenue and gross margin (GM) targets.
  • Develop deep technical and commercial expertise, along with a strong understanding of competitive products and market strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Business Support teams to gather insights, analyze data, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Monitor product performance, sales trends, and effectiveness of marketing initiatives and events.
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategies including product launches, promotions, channel schemes, and partner engagement activities in coordination with Marketing.
  • Drive improvements in supply chain efficiency and credit management.
  • Lead training initiatives for internal sales teams and channel partners to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Apply a data-driven, analytical approach to business decision-making.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners.
  • Bring relevant experience in Business Management, Product Management, or Account Management roles.
  • Identify and onboard new technology vendors to strengthen and expand the product portfolio.

Preferred Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in Business Management, Product Management, Category Management, Vendor Management, or Account Management roles.
  • Prior experience within IT Distribution, Technology, Telecom, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, AI, or Digital Transformation domains preferred.
  • Exposure to channel sales, partner ecosystem management, and vendor-led business models is highly desirable.
