Purpose: The Operations Data Analyst supports Corporate Operations and New Initiatives by transforming operational data into accurate and clean reporting, useful insights, and clear business stories that support informed decision making. The role will pull, organize, validate, and analyze data from Property Management Software System, Power BI, and additional platforms. It will also create and maintain recurring reports and dashboards and helps measure the performance of pilots, programs, and new initiatives.

Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
Reporting and Data Management
- Pull, compile, clean, and validate data from Yardi, Power BI, Excel, and additional vendor solutions.
- Prepare and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and data sets.
- Perform quality-control reviews to ensure reports and dashboards are accurate, consistent, and complete.
- Maintain clear documentation of report logic, data sources, calculations, definitions, and recurring reporting processes.
- Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests in support of operational and organizational priorities.
Power BI and Data Visualization
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
- Translate business questions and reporting needs into clear, practical dashboards and reporting outputs.
- Monitor dashboard results and investigate exceptions, inconsistencies, or potential data-quality concerns.
- Build technical capability in Power BI, data modeling, and related reporting tools.
Operational Analysis and Data Storytelling
- Analyze operational results to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring additional review.
- Develop concise summaries, presentations, and visualizations that explain what the data shows and why it matters.
- Connect findings to objectives and provide leaders with clear, actionable information to support decision-making.
- Support the development and monitoring of key performance indicators for the team.
New Initiatives and Program Measurement
- Support pilots, implementations, and new initiatives by establishing baseline data and defining measurable performance indicators.
- Track adoption, operational performance, vendor results, and program outcomes throughout implementation and after launch.
- Compare actual results to expected outcomes and summarize findings for leadership.
- Assist with special projects that advance operational performance, efficiency, and organizational priorities.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to understand reporting needs and confirm data definitions.
- Support end users by answering report questions, researching data concerns, and helping improve confidence with reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to streamline recurring reporting, improve data quality, and reduce manual work.
- Participate in training, testing, and process-improvement activities related to reporting and operational technology.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Real Estate, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, multi-family reporting, business intelligence, property management, or real estate. Relevant internship and substantial academic projects may satisfy this requirement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and working with large data sets.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI and a demonstrated ability and interest in developing dashboard-building and data-visualization skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to data accuracy and detail.
- Ability to organize multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on recurring and project-based assignments.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational leaders, cross-functional partners, and external vendors.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional travel to property locations.
- Ability to participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions both virtually and in person.
