We are looking for a Data Engineer to join Stora Enso’s Digital & Business Technology Services as soon as possible.
You will be joining the Digital Value Chain team, responsible for building and operating the trusted data foundation that enables end-to-end transparency across the value chain.
You will be located in Ostrava, Czechia, and report to the Digital Value Chain Lead.
Purpose
The Data Engineer helps shape a trusted, AI-ready data foundation that enables end-to-end transparency across Stora Enso's value chain.
By developing scalable data products, pipelines and integrations, the role transforms complex business and operational data into actionable insights that support operational excellence, smarter decision-making and continuous innovation.
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations and data products to support AI, reporting and business decision-making
- Ensure data quality, reliability, performance and availability through testing, monitoring, and validation activities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to operational support activities by troubleshooting issues and ensuring reliable data delivery
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with governance, security and architecture principles
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices
What will you bring
Required experience
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and integrations
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Understanding of data modelling and data quality practices
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Fluency in English
Preferred experience
Experience with one or more of the following technologies is considered an advantage:
- Snowflake
- dbt
- Databricks
- Microsoft Power BI
- Python
- Infrastructure-as-Code
