Benefits
Full description
Cleared, and ready to build pipelines that matter? Zaden Technologies is hiring Data Engineers to support a defense logistics analytics program. This is an on-site role — you'd work in person with the mission team, designing the data backbone that feeds real operational decisions: streaming and batch pipelines that pull sprawling logistics data into one governed platform that leaders actually use.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and run high-throughput pipelines integrating structured and unstructured data from enterprise defense logistics systems into a centralized data lake
- Build streaming ingestion with Kafka and batch orchestration with tools like NiFi or Airflow
- Stand up cloud storage and compute with encryption at rest and in transit
- Own data quality: lineage tracking, audit trails, and monitoring that keeps the platform at mission-grade availability
- Work shoulder to shoulder with data scientists and the mission team, on-site
- Write clear technical documentation to support the broader team
Required Qualifications:
- An active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) at time of application (firm requirement, U.S. citizenship required)
- A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 4+ years of data engineering experience
- Hands-on depth in AWS and/or Azure, Python, SQL and NoSQL, Spark, and Kafka
- Availability to work on-site in the greater Tampa area
- Start date in early October
Preferred Qualifications:
- NiFi or Airflow experience in production
- Databricks experience
- Experience integrating enterprise DoD logistics and data systems
- IL4/IL5 cloud environment experience
- Strong documentation habits and clear technical writing
What we offer:
- Robust startup environment with a variety of projects to work on
- Growth paths and endless opportunities to learn and develop
- Paid holidays and flexible paid time off
- Employer contributions toward 401k
- 50% coverage of health insurance for employees and their dependents
