This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Business Analyst (Healthcare) based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major healthcare transformation initiative focused on improving clinical systems and operational effectiveness.The Senior Business Analyst will support the transition toward an integrated Clinical Information System by bridging business needs, clinical workflows, and technology solutions.Working closely with healthcare professionals, technical teams, vendors, and project stakeholders, this position ensures requirements are clearly understood and effectively translated into solutions.The role involves analyzing complex healthcare processes, identifying impacts, and supporting application readiness across multiple domains.This is an impactful opportunity for an experienced analyst who enjoys solving complex challenges in large-scale transformation environments.The successful candidate will help shape future healthcare delivery by enabling better-connected systems and more efficient clinical operations.

Accountabilities: The Senior Business Analyst will lead business analysis activities for complex healthcare transformation programs, ensuring that clinical, operational, and technical requirements are accurately captured, documented, and delivered. The role requires strong collaboration with healthcare stakeholders and technology teams to support successful system implementation and optimization.

  • Lead business analysis activities for large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives involving clinical systems and enterprise applications.
  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and workflow assessments.
  • Conduct business process analysis, gap assessments, impact analysis, and support solution design activities.
  • Develop detailed documentation including use cases, user stories, workflows, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Identify impacted applications, dependencies, integration points, and downstream system impacts.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacy teams, laboratory teams, diagnostic imaging teams, operational leaders, vendors, and project managers.
  • Support application upgrades, system consolidations, integrations, data migration activities, and application retirement initiatives.
  • Coordinate application changes and readiness activities across internal teams and external partners.
  • Support governance reporting, risk management, cutover planning, and transformation readiness activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts when required.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in healthcare business analysis, with a strong understanding of clinical environments, enterprise transformation initiatives, and technology-enabled process improvements. The successful candidate combines analytical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate independently in complex environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading business analysis activities within large healthcare and/or government transformation projects.
  • Proven experience with requirements elicitation and management, stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, workflow development, and business process analysis.
  • Strong capability in developing use cases, user stories, functional documentation, gap analyses, impact assessments, and solution support materials.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with clinical stakeholders, including physicians, nursing teams, allied health professionals, pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and operational leadership groups.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Clinical Information System implementations, upgrades, optimization, consolidation, or replacement programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with executives, subject matter experts, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership teams, governance committees, and clinical audiences.
  • Experience with downstream clinical applications such as laboratory, pharmacy, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, registration, scheduling, and nursing systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/French capability is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, PMI certifications, or CSM are considered an asset.
