We’re recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join our Technology team in either Bristol or Edinburgh. This position sits in the Plans Portfolio Delivery team, supporting the delivery of technology change across global Plans development teams.

A role you will love

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join a high-performing portfolio delivery function where you’ll shape, drive and lead a diverse mix of complex, high-visibility delivery initiatives, typically within an Agile or hybrid delivery framework You will drive day-to-day activity, ensure alignment is met with scope, quality and delivery expectations and act as a central point of coordination between technical teams and the wider Plans business

Other key responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects to defined governance standards, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, issue resolution, and change control.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation, plans, RAID logs, and status reports.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting that gives stakeholders confidence and enables informed decisions..
  • Identify and manage key dependencies for the projects working with the wider change programmes, business and development teams.
  • Create the project approaches, structure and outline clear approach, roles and responsibilities required for the projects.
  • Define and manage project scope in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and checkpoint forums, ensuring all parties have a consistent view of progress and expectations.
  • Manage interactions with external partners and suppliers.

As an IT Project Manager, you will be able to build productive working relationships with individuals from technical and non-technical backgrounds. You will be a strategic thinker, and bring robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a proven history of successfully delivering complex IT projects, ideally within an agile environment. You thrive in fast paced, collaborative settings and naturally foster strong partnerships with stakeholders and teams. Your in-depth understanding of IT processes and solid grasp of agile methodologies enable you to oversee projects effectively from initiation through to completion.
