Purpose:

Athene is seeking an innovative data science professional to join our marketing analytics team. This role will support Athene’s industry-leading growth path by managing a portfolio of predictive models that power our marketing strategy at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of the complete life cycle for marketing analytics and modeling projects, including the development, validation, and recalibration of statistical and machine learning models.
  • Oversee the collection, management, and enhancement of internal & external data sources to support analysis and modeling initiatives.  
  • Develop & maintain propensity to sell, cross-sell & up-sell, churn prediction, and marketing attribution models in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Establish MLOps framework, including model training, versioning, governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Identify and implement improvements to analytics workflows; quickly and responsibly adapting to new technologies and AI tools.
  • Communicate clear, data-driven insights & recommendations for non-technical audiences and cross-functional decision-makers.
  • Proactively manage strategic priorities to deliver solutions on time and within requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience building statistical analyses and predictive models.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics); advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong proficiency using Python and/or R for data science applications.
  • Adept in SQL for querying and joining large, complex datasets.
  • Proven experience building and validating supervised and unsupervised models (regression, classification, clustering).
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data environments. AWS preferred, including S3, Athena, and SageMaker services.
  • Comfort leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to augment or accelerate workflows.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
