Full description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our FS&Q team.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring our products consistently meet customer, legislative and company quality standards. Working closely with production teams, you'll carry out quality checks, inspections, audits and verification activities that support our HACCP food safety management system.

About the role:

  • Carry out routine quality inspections to ensure products meet customer, company and legislative standards.
  • Monitor product quality, temperatures, packaging, labelling, coding and contamination throughout production.
  • Complete HACCP monitoring, verification activities and product/environmental sampling in line with site procedures.
  • Perform calibration checks on production equipment, including scales, metal detectors and steriliser units.
  • Conduct internal quality audits, including GMP, labelling, traceability and foreign body inspections.
  • Accurately complete QA documentation, electronic records and report any quality or food safety non-conformances.
  • Work closely with production, technical and management teams while supporting internal, customer and third-party audits.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality procedures while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation.
  • Commitment to producing safe, high-quality product
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or quality assurance role.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
  • Experience using electronic quality monitoring systems or handheld devices.
