Accountabilities The Staff Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions while driving reliability, automation, and operational excellence across multiple environments.
- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop and manage routing architectures, including BGP, OSPF, route policies, and peering strategies.
- Implement hybrid networking solutions using VPNs, private connectivity, and inter-region routing.
- Configure and manage Juniper networking platforms, including firewalls and switching environments.
- Build network automation workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Implement network security controls, segmentation strategies, firewall policies, and access management solutions.
- Support capacity planning, performance optimization, traffic analysis, and network scalability initiatives.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
- Manage ISP connectivity, transit providers, private circuits, and carrier relationships.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, monitoring processes, and technical runbooks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced network engineering professional with strong expertise in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, automation, and security practices.
- 7+ years of experience working in network engineering roles.
- Relevant networking certifications or equivalent experience, such as CCNP or JNCIP in Data Center, Enterprise, or Service Provider environments.
- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, switching, and load balancing.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Layer 2 networking concepts, including ARP, MAC address tables, LACP, and MC-LAG.
- Experience managing Juniper networking technologies, including SRX firewalls and QFX switching platforms.
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking, including AWS Direct Connect, GCP Interconnect, VPNs, VPCs, Transit Gateway, and Cloud Router.
- Working knowledge of Terraform for network infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with Kubernetes networking technologies, including Calico or Cilium.
- Familiarity with network monitoring, observability platforms, performance metrics, and logging solutions.
- Understanding of network security principles, firewall management, segmentation, and access control concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot DNS issues and manage network cabling standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bonus experience with EVPN, IPv6 rollouts, RIPE, RPKI, MANRS, Linux CLI, and data center environments.
