About the Role:

The IT Support & Network Administrator is responsible for the daily support and troubleshooting for end users as well as have a specialized focus on the overall engineering, build, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network and related monitoring systems to ensure an acceptable level of performance, reliability, and security. The Administrator will play a key role in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflow needs associated with network systems for the organization. The role is highly involved in the decision-making process to determine which technologies and strategies will allow us to remain HIPAA compliant while also qualifying for necessary cyber insurance. The role is critical to the overall security and continued compliance of the organization and related systems. The Administrator will be expected to work at an advanced level in all aspects of the network infrastructure while also working to acquire and maintain certification status.

Location: 943 S. Beneva Road, Sarasota

Position is full-time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standards.
  • Computer networking experience: 3 years
  • Network security experience: 3 years
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practice guidelines
  • Working knowledge of firewall technologies, specifically Palo Alto; knowledge of wireless technologies, specifically Aruba Networks; knowledge and use of 802.11 (LAN); knowledge and practical application of Layer 2-4 networking standards (WAN)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred OR successful completion of an accredited technical program
  • Healthcare IT experience: 3 years
  • Cisco CUCM & Webex Contact Center experience: 2 years
  • Certifications specific to industry and role
  • Prior experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

  • Plan and develop the detailed engineering, design and implementation of the organization’s network environment
  • Plan and perform upgrades of network systems hardware and supporting systems in accordance with ITIL best practices
  • Research current and develop technologies to provide technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations and requirements of network system
  • Responsible for network systems projects that range from medium to large in scope risk and impact
  • Assist with projects of varying complexity and scope, in a high-volume environment.
  • Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager to select and maintain systems necessary for the overall security of organization’s network
  • Manage and maintain network monitoring tools & SIEM
  • Assist in managing and maintaining ZenDesk Help Desk system
  • Assist Software Support with any hardware or OS changes requested to resolve certain issues
  • Process requests from end users having a particular issue or seeking direction on computer hardware and/or software such as printers, scanners, keyboards/mice, monitors, Microsoft Office components, email, and operating systems

Skills:

The required skills enable the IT Support and Network Administrator to effectively diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring continuous network availability critical to healthcare operations. Proficiency in network management tools and security protocols is essential for protecting sensitive patient information and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong communication skills facilitate collaboration with clinical and administrative staff, translating technical concepts into user-friendly guidance. Preferred skills such as scripting and cloud technology knowledge enhance the ability to automate routine tasks and support modern IT infrastructure initiatives.
