Position Purpose:The store planners role is to create and maintain store specific floor plans to support major corporate initiatives. Floor plans are developed based on an evaluation of each store's existing condition compared to the approved scope of work. Store specific scope development should include an implementation of approved scope items, new store merchandising philosophies, and chain-wide resets.
Key Responsibilities:• 10% Owns the accuracy of all store planning data for assigned areas; Conduct analytics leveraging Store Planning related information to support improved business process and decisions.
- 75% Ensure integrity of store project floor plans and data in relation to what has been planned and executed; Makes departmental and store merchandising recommendations, including space allocation and bay adjacencies based on store sales performance analysis; Develop multiple store layout projects simultaneously while adhering to project scope, timelines and quality metrics; Develops supporting documentation to support implementation of projects; Comply with all building regulations, corporate standards and internal quality standards
- 15% Assist the merchant and suppliers to define and articulate project strategy and objectives, scope and business requirements. Think creatively to make recommendations regarding executing strategies and potential solutions. Drive and develop programs and detailed scope through relationships with Merchants and other In Store Environment teams; Teaches associates about project scope by creating documentation, leading group training sessions and in store activities; Influence store space decisions in assigned projects that meet the goals of the organization and are mutually beneficial for the merchants, stores and ultimately THD customers.

Travel Requirements:• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both
- 1+ years of experience in Auto CAD
- Prior Store Planning Experience
