About the Role

  • Own end-to-end technical solutioning for sales opportunities across drone docks, quadruped and humanoid robotics, RaaS (Robotics-as-a-Service), and managed services offerings, translating client requirements into deployable solution architectures covering hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Act as a technical sales consultant in client engagements: lead technical discovery, site and requirement assessments, solution design, and proof-of-concept scoping; support proposals with solution write-ups, bills of materials, scopes of work, and deployment plans.
  • Serve as the key technical reference point for the sales team: field first-touchpoint technical enquiries from clients and internal sales staff, support deal qualification, and provide accurate technical advice that right-sizes solutions to client needs and budgets.
  • Design and articulate how Aonic software architecture, including the Aonic Arc command-and-control platform, integrates with client applications and IT environments: cloud versus on-premise deployment, server setup, digital twin workflows, dashboards, and API/data integration with client systems.
  • Advise clients and their IT teams on network and infrastructure requirements for deployments, including connectivity (Wi-Fi/4G/5G), network security constraints, remote streaming, and centralized fleet operations.
  • Plan and lead product demonstrations (drone dock operations, robotics demos via remote controller and HDMI live streaming, and software walkthroughs), and maintain demonstration readiness, equipment, and backup material.
  • Liaise closely with the engineering and software teams to stay current on product capabilities, integration methods, and roadmaps, and convert this knowledge into sales-ready materials, FAQs, and playbooks for the sales team.
  • Prepare and maintain technical case studies, use case reports, and solution collateral; keep internal and external collateral repositories organized and up to date for client sharing.
  • Support tender and bid responses with technical write-ups and compliance to client specifications, including regulated environments such as oil and gas.
  • Work with the commercial team to structure managed services and RaaS packages, providing technical input on service scope, deployment effort, and delivery feasibility.
  • Conduct internal technical training to upskill the sales team on solution fundamentals, and maintain a record of technical contact points across principals and technology partners.
  • To understand and comply ISO knowledge and comply to all ISO requirements and SOP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, technical sales, or systems integration, preferably involving robotics, drones/UAV, IoT, automation, or enterprise IT solutions.
  • Working knowledge of IT and networking fundamentals (at minimum: TCP/IP, Wi-Fi/cellular connectivity, VPN, server and cloud basics, API integration), sufficient to scope deployments with client IT teams.
  • Understanding of software architecture concepts: cloud versus on-premise deployment, command-and-control platforms, digital twin, and data/system integration.
  • Hands-on aptitude with hardware: comfortable operating, demonstrating, and troubleshooting robotics and drone systems in front of clients.
  • Proven ability to translate technical capability into commercial value: strong presentation, proposal writing, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, case studies, and solution collateral.
  • Added advantage: exposure to survey and mapping concepts (GNSS/GPS, ground control points, absolute versus relative accuracy), or experience in regulated sectors such as oil and gas.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for assessments, demonstrations, and deployments.

Approving authority for all activities that are related to the following:

  • Technical solution design and architecture decisions for sales opportunities.
  • Technical validation and endorsement of proposals, tenders, and case studies prior to submission.
  • Selection of demonstration equipment, tools, and software based on pre-approved budgets.
  • Escalation of product gaps and integration requirements to engineering and software teams.
