Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer I (P1) to join our Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team in developing solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems. Join our highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments, which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our Warfighters. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
- Support the implementation of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions in Raytheon products
- Collaborate with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, and implementation strategies
- Develop plans, estimates, task execution schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
- Guide SSE implementations and architectures for customer systems
- Conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments
- Develop top-level system requirements and flow those into subsystem implementation concepts

- Ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience and/or coursework with one or more of the following: System Security Engineering, Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems Security, Embedded Hardware, Embedded Software, Real-time Embedded Systems
Qualifications We Prefer
- Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- Applied engineering experience or coursework with exposure in one or more of the following domains: Systems Security Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware development, Systems Integration and/or Test, ASIC development, Systems Security, Anti-Tamper, Cybersecurity, Digital Electronics design or similar work history.
- Past work experience (professional or academic) interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers
- Experience in designing, implementing, testing and fielding real-time embedded security solutions
- Experience with model-based systems engineering
- Exceptional creativity, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
