Job Description
Reporting to the IT Manager, the DevOps Specialist improves internal automation, builds and maintains CI/CD workflows, and standardizes environment consistency across development, staging, demo, and production systems. This hands-on role requires strong scripting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to reduce manual processes and improve deployment reliability using Jenkins and Ansible within a Linux-based infrastructure. The DevOps Specialist will also assist with other duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of IT and development operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve Jenkins pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for system provisioning and configuration.
- Automate staging and demo environment builds and resets.
- Improve consistency between staging and production environments.
- Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Support and enhance monitoring through Zabbix and Grafana.
- Document automation processes and best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 3–5 years experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or Automation roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and Ansible.
- Solid Linux administration skills.
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Experience supporting CI/CD processes in a production environment.
Skills & Aptitudes
- Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications.
- Working familiarity with Zabbix and Grafana.
- Proven ability to improve workflow efficiency in hosted or SaaS environments.
- Ability to build and maintain automated, consistent staging environments.
- Ability to reduce manual deployment work through repeatable processes.
- Solid understanding of standardized system configuration using Ansible.
- Ability to build and document stable CI/CD pipelines.
