Role Overview The Senior Project Manager supports several large-scale IT initiatives, software migrations, and platform modernization efforts within a major national healthcare organization. This role focuses on driving structured project processes across the IT division, managing complex system implementations, and coordinating multi-layered technical workstreams. Key initiatives include an enterprise portal modernization, a Salesforce CRM migration, content management system (CMS) upgrades, and external-facing Identity and Access Management (IAM) security implementations. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Platform Modernization

  • Direct and manage end-to-end lifecycles for complex, large-scale IT modernization projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead the modernization of central enterprise portals, coordinating the migration of multiple smaller software applications to a unified, modern platform.
  • Oversee enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) migrations, specifically migrating legacy data and operational configurations to Salesforce.
  • Manage Content Management System (CMS) upgrades and migration projects to enhance digital publishing capabilities.

Identity Access & Technical Infrastructure

  • Plan and coordinate Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives, focusing on secure authentication and access controls for external-facing portals and websites.
  • Support cloud-based productivity migrations and technology integrations within Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Track, mitigate, and resolve project risks, operational issues, and timeline dependencies across cross-functional infrastructure and database teams.

Stakeholder Coordination & Process Governance

  • Facilitate robust stakeholder engagement, regular project meetings, and clear status reporting to ensure operational transparency across the IT organization.
  • Bridge the gap between technical developers, engineering teams, and non-technical business partners to drive project alignment.
  • Implement, document, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and project management guidelines to strengthen overall IT governance.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of professional project management experience leading large-scale, complex IT initiatives.
  • Proven experience directing technology implementation, application migration, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience managing CRM implementation projects, specifically Salesforce migrations.
  • Experience supporting Content Management System (CMS) migration and upgrade initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) security concepts, particularly for external-facing web platforms.
  • Familiarity managing projects within Microsoft 365 collaboration and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple workstreams, diverse stakeholders, technical risks, and project dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior project management experience within healthcare payer, insurance, or federal healthcare environments.
  • Professional certifications, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Scrum credential.
  • Experience guiding software developers and system administrators through complex legacy platform decommissioning.
