Full description

Process Engineering & Improvement (Primary)

  • Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs across departments.
  • Direct cross-functional teams during new product launches, ensuring smooth transition from quoting to production.
  • Evaluate and recommend advanced tooling, equipment, and automation strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead time studies, workflow analyses, and labor utilization projects to drive process efficiency.

Quoting & Estimating

  • Provide Technical support on cost estimates for new and existing products, incorporating labor standards, materials, tooling, and overhead.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to prepare accurate, competitive customer quotes.
  • Maintain and refine quoting standards, databases, and process assumptions.
  • Develop an understanding of the financial aspects as it relates to the P&L..
  • Compare quoted assumptions to actual production results, and adjust standards as needed.

Reporting & Strategic Impact

  • Lead and Provide executive-level reporting on improvement opportunities.
  • Develop short-term and long-term strategies for operations.
  • Document best practices and create standardized processes for quoting and industrial engineering activities.
  • Develop a sound understanding of the technical, quotation, process, and management process of the business.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering, cost estimating, or process optimization within manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of leading projects, mentoring team members, and driving measurable process improvements.
  • Advanced knowledge of time studies, cost modeling, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, cost estimating software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
