You will be:
- developing and validating Java-based integration solutions,
- reproducing and troubleshooting issues with the ClickHouse JDBC connector,
- debugging and fixing Kerberos/GSS authentication for Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server,
- migrating the connector from JDBC v1 to JDBC v2,
- testing and verifying functionality across Windows, VPN and Tableau environments,
- packaging and signing connector releases for deployment,
- collaborating with technical stakeholders to resolve complex integration challenges.
Your profile:
- extensive experience with Java development and integration projects,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- strong knowledge of JDBC driver development and debugging,
- hands-on experience with Kerberos/GSS authentication,
- experience integrating Java applications with Tableau or similar BI platforms,
- solid understanding of ClickHouse or other analytical databases,
- experience working with legacy code and migrating existing solutions,
- familiarity with Windows-based development environments and VPN access,
- experience with packaging, signing and releasing Java applications,
- strong troubleshooting and debugging skills,
- ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions with minimal supervision,
- good communication skills and fluent technical English (at least B2 level).
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
• experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
- interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
