At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.
The Salesforce Technical Manager is responsible for leading a team of Salesforce administrators and developers while overseeing the day-to-day operations, stability, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform. This role ensures reliable platform delivery, operational excellence, and adherence to Salesforce best practices, governance, and security standards. The Manager partners closely with the Sr. Manager, Salesforce CoE to execute the platform roadmap and support business objectives.
Responsibilities
People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Salesforce administrators and developers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage workload planning, capacity, and priorities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of platform enhancements and support.
- Conduct performance management activities including goal setting, feedback, and career development.
Platform Operations & Delivery
- Own Salesforce operational support processes, including incident management, triage, SLAs, and escalation paths.
- Operate as a player-coach by stepping into support administrative, development, or operational activities during periods of high demand, resource constraints, production incidents, or other critical business needs.
- Ensure platform availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
- Oversee release execution, environment management, and deployment activities in alignment with CoE governance standards.
- Collaborate with the Salesforce Architect to ensure team members adhere to Salesforce architecture standards and best practices.
- Escalate risks, issues, and capacity constraints to the Sr. Manager with clear recommendations.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Enforce Salesforce CoE governance, including change management, release management, and security controls.
- Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks related to platform stability, technical debt, and delivery capacity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and/or development experience.
- 2+ years of direct people management experience leading Salesforce administrators and developers.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration, configuration, development, and platform operations.
- Experience overseeing Salesforce releases, deployments, and environment management (e.g., sandbox strategy, release coordination).
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce security, data access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments.
- Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and/or Developer certifications.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting large user bases and complex Salesforce implementations.
- Experience reviewing and guiding Salesforce development work, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations.
- Experience in regulated environments with working knowledge of HIPAA, security, and compliance standards.

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
US Pay Range
$100,500—$150,675 USD
