About the role
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead a newly established team within the Distributed Control System (DCS) department. DCS comprises more than 250 highly skilled engineers across Denmark and India, delivering Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and IT/OT infrastructure engineering services to customers within the pharmaceutical API production industry.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for defining the department’s strategic direction and ensuring the successful execution of key business objectives. You will build and nurture strong, long-term partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging these relationships to drive collaboration, innovation and business success.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation by leading strategic initiatives focused on new ways of working, digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies. Through your leadership, you will contribute to the continued growth, competitiveness and operational excellence of the department.

How you might spend your days
As a Senior Manager, you’ll be:
- Providing visionary leadership,
ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and coordinating with other departments to enable successful project execution.
- Managing 15–25 employees who
provide automation engineering services to customers in the pharmaceutical API production sector.
- Driving competence development
within your department, in close collaboration with the management team across Denmark and India.
- Actively participating in
projects to remain up to date on technical advancements and ensure alignment with the NNE way of working.
- Managing stakeholder
communication and collaboration with customer representatives.

What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven leadership experience
with a minimum of 5 years managing managers and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
- At least 5 years of experience
within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sector, combined with a strong background in complex engineering projects.
- Strong industry network and
deep expertise in pharma automation technologies, e.g. DCS, PLC, and IT/OT solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to define
strategic direction, translate strategy into execution, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
