Technical Solutions Consultant, Android TV Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers in the consumer electronics or embedded systems industry.

• Experience in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++ or Python)

• Experience in managing partnerships or client relationships in the mobile/Consumer Electronics (CE)/embedded space.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience driving partner technical collaboration programs and working with embedded systems.

• Experience with Android application or platform development.

• Experience with an analytical approach in a proactive, ownership-driven approach to creatively solve problems, while effectively managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of internet and streaming technologies and strong communication skills .

• Ability to travel, including to mainland China, to collaborate with partners.

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese fluently to collaborate with partners.

About the job:

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant in our Android TV Partner Engineering team, you are the technical engagement manager taking responsibility for the success of our Android TV partnerships. With your technical expertise, you will support code and architecture reviews from internal and external stakeholders, work on simplifying and streamlining processes, gather and analyze data that helps Google and its partners to make informed decisions. You will also define the scope of technical projects, oversee execution, and manage the overall technical aspects to build strong, successful, long-term partnerships.Android is Google’s mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. • Lead the technical engagement effort with key TV industry partners.

• Conduct technical reviews of partner implementations, identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure successful device launches.

• Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback and advocating on behalf of the partner to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering.

• Drive quality and scale through continuous improvement of both technical and policy/process aspects of reference design programs.

• Improve partner devices through debug and resolution of technical issues across the stack including SOC Board Support Package (BSP), Android framework, and Android TV specific application components.
