At Knowledgeworks, we develop technology solutions that support decision-making in demanding and highly complex environments.

We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join an exciting and impactful project based in Porto, operating in a hybrid work model.

Your mission

You will design, build, and operate the platform layer that enables data services to run efficiently in the cloud. You are expected to take ownership across the full lifecycle: from infrastructure design to production support and continuous improvement.

Requisitos

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps,

Platform Engineering, or similar roles

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud

services (ECS, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, WAF)

  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure

as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD

pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)

  • Solid understanding of containerised

environments (Docker, microservices)

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix

systems and networking fundamentals

  • Experience with monitoring and

observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Coralogix)

  • Experience in production support and

incident management

  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows

and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira)

  • Fluency

in English is required

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Azure environments
  • Experience working with data

platforms or data engineering teams

  • Understanding of SRE principles

(SLIs/SLOs, reliability practices)

Softskills:

  • Ability to adapt to different

contexts, teams, and Clients;

  • Teamwork skills but also a sense of

autonomy;

  • Motivation for international

projects and ok if travel is included;

  • Willingness to collaborate with

other players;

  • Strong communication skills.
