ROLE PURPOSE
The Salesforce Product Owner is responsible for the strategic direction, delivery, and governance of Salesforce across CX and Sales functions. This is a hands-on role requiring deep Salesforce expertise, solution design capability, and the ability to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of CX Operations, this role owns the Salesforce roadmap, manages the backlog, and works closely with CX, Sales, and IT teams to deliver enhancements that improve productivity, reduce cost-to-serve, and enhance the customer experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy & Roadmap
- Own a 12–18 month Salesforce roadmap aligned to CX and Sales
- Advise on platform capabilities and new features (e.g. Einstein AI, Agentforce)
- Govern the platform including licences, apps, and vendor spend
Solution Design & Delivery
- Design and configure scalable Salesforce solutions
- Deliver flows, automation, reports, and dashboards
- Partner with developers and provide hands-on platform support
Product Ownership & Agile
- Own the Salesforce backlog and Service ticket queue
- Write user stories and lead sprint ceremonies
- Coordinate testing, releases, and change management
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with CX, Sales, and IT to gather and prioritise requirements
- Translate business needs into technical solutions
- Champion user experience and value-driven outcomes
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Essential Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years’ Salesforce experience in delivery, consulting, or architecture roles
- Background as a Salesforce Consultant, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead
- Hands-on experience across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- End-to-end solution design and architecture experience
- Backlog and project management experience using JIRA (or similar)
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum or Kanban)
- Strong user story writing with clear acceptance criteria
- Proven stakeholder management across business and technical teams
Certifications (Required)
- Current Salesforce Administrator certification
- One advanced certification (e.g. Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Application Architect)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, or Einstein AI
- Exposure to Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience working with SAP, Genesys, or contact centre platforms
- Background in B2B, distribution, or supplies environments
