About the Role

This role supports the Institutional Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team in managing non-financial risks across Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance products, including Payments & Cash Management, Trade Finance, Digital Payments, and related client solutions.

As part of the First Line of Defense, you will work closely with Product, Sales, Implementation, Operations, Technology, and Digital teams to support the effective management of risk across the product and client lifecycle. The role provides an opportunity to build expertise in risk management while contributing to the delivery of safe, sustainable, and customer-focused business outcomes.

You will support day-to-day risk management activities, including risk and control assessments, governance reporting, issue and incident management, control uplift initiatives, product change activities, and risk documentation. The role offers broad exposure to Transaction Banking products, digital capabilities, and contemporary non-financial risk management practices.

What will your day look like?

This role is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the following outcomes:

  • Support the management of Non-Financial Risk across Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance products, including Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Digital Payments.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks, controls, issues, and incidents across product and platform lifecycles.
  • Support risk assessments, governance reporting, control improvements, and remediation activities.
  • Contribute to risk reviews for product changes, digital initiatives, and client implementations.
  • Prepare risk insights, management information, and governance materials for key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Risk teams to support effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Help embed a strong risk culture and contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes and controls.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, Risk Management, Governance, Product Management, Operations, Technology, Implementation, Controls, or related functions.
  • Foundational understanding of Non-Financial Risk concepts, including risk assessments, controls, issue management, governance, and risk reporting.
  • Awareness of risk exposures relevant to Transaction Banking products and digital platforms, including operational, compliance, technology, cyber, data, fraud, third-party, conduct, financial crime, and resilience risks.
  • Exposure to Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Digital Payments, Client Connectivity, APIs, Corporate Lending, or related client solution environments.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret risk and control information and identify emerging themes and issues.
  • Experience supporting governance processes, risk reporting, action tracking, remediation activities, or control improvement initiatives.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, risk, and control functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools used for risk analysis and governance reporting.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, contribute, and grow within a dynamic risk and Transaction Banking environment.
